Munni: - What a funny battle it was, indeed? Are you guys aware of that battle?

Arindam: - Are you talking about the football match between Mohun Bagan and East Bengal, where Mohun Bagan Team gifted them a New Year Gift. Barreto missed a penalty shot. What a shame it was for us?

Munni: - dhaath, I am not talking about those faltu football matches. I am talking about the battle between Chetan Bhagat and Aamir Khan & Co., regarding the story of the film ‘3 Idiots’.

Parag: - ya, ya, we are aware of that. Chetan is absolutely right. ‘3 Idiots’ film matches with the story of ‘5 point someone’ by around 65%. I have read that book and also watched this film. It is matching.

Sunil: - See, maybe, Chetan wrote the entire story in English in narrative or descriptive style. Mr. Joshi just changed 45% of that story in Hindi with some good dialogues. Basically, on the first instance, everyone decided to keep the story same as ‘5 Point someone’. But, as the film ‘Hello’ based on the novel ‘One night in a Call Center’ was a flop, that is why, Aamir was somewhat skeptical and suggested to change at least 35% of that story. The idea of ‘2 idiots searching for the third idiot’ came from Aamir’s head only. Chetan created the pitch, Mr. Joshi pressed the roller on it and Aamir bowled the bouncers.

Arindam: - Thik hai bhai, aisa chalta rahata hain. See, a novel writer never writes a book with a focus that someone will make a film on it. He just writes that story in a reflective or descriptive style. But, for a film director, he needs extra masala in the story to make it a superhit and for that he is bound to do some twists in the story and that is where the credibility of a script-writer comes in. Exactly, that thing has happened here.

Roshni: - But, they should have displayed it in the film that this story is inspired from one of Chetan’s story. That would have been a good credit for Chetan. After all, you cannot ignore that writer, as the plot, the characters and the college life fully matches with ‘5 Point someone’ story. When Mr. Chopra is yelling at the media, the people are whispering. ‘Why is he reacting like that? Daal mein kuch toh kaala hain’. Aamir is also commenting on the issue, without even reading the story ‘5 Point someone’. Hirani babu did the final blunder by telling the differences between that story and this film. Everyone knows, there are twists in the tale, but you cannot ignore the matching portions also.

Parag: - Hmm…Roshni, I know that you are a die-hard fan of Chetan’s writing, but, why Chetan was so silent for these days? If the film would have been a super flop, he would have not uttered a single word, because then people would have said, ‘Chetan ka story hain, isiliye woh film flop ho gaya, jaise ‘Hello’ film hua tha’. But, now, as ‘3 Idiots’ have become a superhit, Chetan wants the credit.

Arindam: - bhaiye, I have neither read that story, nor I have watched this film, but one thing is evident that it is a fight between some foolish people. At least, Shahrukh Khan and Amitabh Bacchan are smarter than Aamir Khan. Everyone said that ‘Chak De India’ was inspired from the English film ‘Miracle’, and that time, King Khan humbly accepted it and said that it may be just a coincidence, or maybe, some parts of the story is inspired, but, ‘Chak De India’ is different from ‘Miracle’ movie. Even, when people said that ‘Paa’ is inspired from ‘Benjamin Button’, then both Mr. Valki and Big B accepted the fact that ‘Auro’ and ‘Benjamin’ have the same disease, but the story of both the films are different. See, in both the cases, all have compromised humbly in front of the media, to avoid any controversies and two films were superhit. When you are yelling at the media or reacting like that, then that means you are inviting the media by saying, ‘Aa bailh mujhey maar’. All the four people are basically idiots to me. Why Chetan reacted so late? This means that he was also feeling insecure whether the film will be a superhit or not? You have seen ‘3 IDIOTS’ in reel life and you are now watching ‘4 IDIOTS’ of real life, but the H.C.F of ‘3 Idiots’ and ‘4 Idiots’ is surely the Aamir Khan, he he he…See the fun.
