Nelo: - aah, maybe, at that time, the State Government was not having so much money to extend that Metro Rail till Thakurpukur. The State Government still regards Thakurpukur as a part of South 24 Parganas, but not of Kolkata city.
Gutke: - accha, can you ignore the IIM College, Joka Tram Depot and the Thakurpukur Cancer Hospital? Since British rule, Thakurpukur is a part of Kolkata only, but this area has always been neglected. In comparison to Behala and Barisha area also, not a significant development have taken place in Thakurpukur area. Garia was never a part of Kolkata. Barrackpore was never a part of Kolkata, Dakhineswar is outside Kolkata only, even this SaltLake city and Rajarhat are in North 24 Parganas, they were not in proper Kolkata. If those places can have Metro Rails, then why not in Thakurpukur?

Joka is under Thakurpukur area only. Try to understand its future impact. A person of Diamond Harbour can easily reach Dakhineswar within 1.5 hours. Not only have that, a student of IIM Thakurpukur can easily reach Dumdum airport, without any hassles. TMC gets more votes from Thakurpukur area, than from Garia and Dakhineswar areas, but still Mamata Banerjee has done nothing for this area. You people should better vote for CPI (M) from this Thakurpukur area.
